The Emma Treadwell Thacher Nature Center is located about eight miles west of Rensselaer, NY. Some of the exhibits that visitors can enjoy here include a live honeybee observation hive, a bird viewing area, fossils and a geological model of the Helderburg Escarpment. The center is closed on Mondays and holidays.
